Rolien has been working at Panteia as a researcher/advisor within the Transport & Mobility team since September 2023. Starting in 2021, she also completed an internship with this team while pursuing her master's degree in Transport & Planning at the TU Delft. She is now a graduated civil engineer.
Currently, Rolien is involved in various projects in the field of transport and mobility, where she utilises her analytical skills. She excels in effective communication, quick absorption of information, and the translation of complex issues into clear insights and recommendations.
She holds a broad interest in various socially relevant issues. For example, she contributed to research on the introduction of biofuels in inland shipping, involving extensive interactions with representatives from companies in the (petro-)chemical sector as well as the food industry. Additionally, she investigated the operation of the Heritage Foundation of Den Helder, an affiliated entity of the municipality. This investigation focused on aspects such as governance structure and finances.
