He is a former member of the management team of several Dutch transport associations, heading the departments of Economic Affairs and Market Research. In these positions he was actively involved in shaping Dutch and European transport policy in close co-operation with national and international governmental institutions, transport associations, trade unions and other public and private organisations.
At Panteia his main field of activity is the management of international transport projects with a strong focus on sector wide transport policy and strategy development, transport master planning, infrastructure development, institutional strengthening and capacity development, and monitoring and evaluation of projects and programmes.
He has worked in more than 25 countries (Central and Eastern Europe, Africa, Asia, South America). Main clients are the European Commission (EuropeAid / DG-MOVE), the Dutch Ministries of Economic Affairs and Transport and Public Works, the World Bank, the International Road Transport Union (IRU), the European Conference of Ministers of Transport (ECMT/CEMT), transport associations and individual companies.
