The 2023 World Day for Safety and Health at Work

In June 2022, the International Labour Conference (ILC) decided to include “a safe and healthy working environment” in the International Labour Organizations (ILO) framework of fundamental principles and rights at work. On the 2023 World Day for Safety and Health at Work, on 28 April 2023, the ILO will celebrate this decision, bringing together experts and constituents to discuss the implications it has for the world of work, as well as how to practically implement this right.

Panteia has been highly active in the field of health and safety at work in recent years and supports this initiative of the ILO. Panteia has contributed to this topic through a large number of assignments over the past years for the European Commission and its agencies (such as EU-OSHA and Eurofound), as well as for the European Parliament and, in The Netherlands, for the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment. In the context of these assignments, Panteia has explored a number of different topics that have an impact on health and safety at work, such as working conditions, musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), work-life balance, implications of automation and digitalisation, mental health and well-being, the impacts of diversity on occupational safety and health, as well as the effects of COVID-19.

Panteia looks forward to continuing to support safe and healthy workplaces in our future work. More information about our work in this field can be found here.
