Panteia & Sustainability (SDGs)
Panteia is aware of the importance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs) in it's projects but also in its daily activities. Together with hundreds of organizations and municipalities, Panteia also raised the sustainable flag for the sixth anniversary of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) on September 24, 2021.
These Sustainable Development Goals form a joint master plan towards a sustainable 2030, with the idea that everything is interlinked. Without inclusive education, no innovation. Without biodiversity, no resilience. For the participants of the flag action, it is therefore much more than just raising a flag.
As a partner in the SDG community, we particularly want to contribute with our research and advice in realizing SDGs on the social and economic front.
This runs like a thread through an ever-increasing part of our projects. For example, in the field of Transport, Panteia is involved in the greening of the European TEN-T corridors and the Dutch MIRT corridors East-South-East and South corridor. Of course we also do this in a broader perspective for the entire Dutch and European transport sector. We contribute environmentally friendly and zero emission solutions for transport in the Netherlands and on the European Corridors. We do this by assisting governments and businesses with practical solutions by proposing and calculating alternatives and ultimately developing investment proposals with which resources can be obtained from banks and governments that lead to actual investments in infrastructure and environmentally friendly vehicles. Furthermore, Panteia conducts research in the social field into the effects of (online) marketing of alcohol and unhealthy food on behavior. And on the economic side, Panteia provides insight into the social contribution of SMEs to our society. It is important to map out how SMEs can contribute to a sustainable society.
To symbolically reinforce the SDGs and give nature a helping hand, Panteia also has 2 bee hives at its office in Zoetermeer. In this way we contribute to the biodiversity, which is increasingly under pressure.
