The future of connected, cooperative, and automated mobility
We are excited to announce the CCAM-ERAS project, part of the Horizon Europe initiative and managed by CINEA - European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency. This 26 month project, with a budget of almost 2 million Euros, aims to pave the way for the future of connected, cooperative, and automated mobility (CCAM).
CCAM-ERAS is set to explore the socio-economic impacts of the transition to CCAM. Our goal is to develop crucial knowledge and prepare for the opportunities and challenges that this transition will bring. We aim to:
- Increase understanding of the skills required for CCAM deployment;
- Facilitate cooperation between sectors such as transport, technology, and education;
- Envision a future where CCAM contributes to a more attractive and inclusive labour market.
Our multidisciplinary approach will anticipate and mitigate job displacement impacts, promote innovation, and upscale CCAM-specific skills. By addressing real-world use cases, we aim to develop actionable schemes to tackle labour market challenges and support key innovators in the field.
Including diverse stakeholders is essential for achieving credibility and support. The roadmap we develop will support the socio-economic transition to CCAM, ensuring a smooth and sustainable path forward.
For this project, Panteia will be working with a team of partners: CINOP Partners for Automated Vehicle Education (PAVE), MaaSLab Cambridge Econometrics, ITS Norway, Rupprecht Consult GmbH, WMG, University of Warwick, Confederation of Organisations in Road Transport Enforcement (CORTE), SINTEF, Swiss Re, Blees and Economics & Data ED23 GmbH. We invite you to follow the project on LinkedIn. As part of the project we are looking to create a CCAM-ERAS Stakeholder Community to advance connected, cooperative, and automated mobility. To become a valued member of the CCAM-ERAS stakeholder community please sign up here.
Panteia researcher Martin Clarke: “I'm looking forward to contributing to this important project and seeing the positive impact it will have on the future mobility landscape.”
