Participation in Transport Conferences
In April, Panteia researchers participated in several transport related conferences, including Transport Research Arena, Intertraffic and the Railfreight Summit.
Lucia Schlemmer, represented us and the project Ambassadors for Diversity in Transport at Intertraffic, where she raised awareness about i4Driving and UVAR Tech Mapping. i4Driving aims to deliver a new library of credible models of heterogeneous human driver behaviors which provides a human road safety baseline for Connected Cooperative and Automated Mobility virtual assessment. Ambassadors for Diversity in Transport seek to promote diversity, equality and inclusion within the EU transport sector, through raising awareness and sharing information on and developing and implementing initiatives to promote diversity in the EU transport sector.
Geert Koops represented us and the projects Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) for Izmir, Turkey, SMARTA and TANGENT. SUMP Izmir aims to prepare a Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan for the metropolitan municipality of Izmir, Turkey. With a focus to develop a long-term vision with clear targets and objectives for a more sustainable urban mobility! SMARTA aims to promote sustainable mobility connections in rural and remote areas by establishing a European Rural Mobility Network and providing training and guidelines on mobility, tourism, and financing. TANGENT is developing new complementary tools for optimising traffic operations in a coordinated and dynamic way from a multimodal perspective and considering automated / non-automated vehicles, passengers, and freight transport.
Several other projects were very well represented by our project colleagues who presented our joint work on several projects.
