Charlotte Byrne studies European Law at Leiden University and has a particular interest in fundamental rights protection, especially in the context of an evolving technological society. Joining Panteia in 2022, Charlotte has contributed to various projects across a broad spectrum of policy areas, including cultural heritage, healthcare, environmental protection, social security, and labour and employment. Charlotte has extensive knowledge of employment issues, having authored a Panteia policy brief on the employment classification of platform workers as well as actively engaging in research that supports the adaptation of regulatory frameworks to the rapidly changing labour market. Her strong analytical skills, coupled with her ability to synthesize complex legal information allow her to deliver well-founded recommendations that guide effective policy development.
