New Version of the Total Cost of Ownership Model for Zero-Emission Coaches
Panteia has released an updated version of the TCO model for zero-emission coaches. Last year, we reported that, on behalf of the Ministry of Infrastructure, we developed a widely supported TCO model for the Dutch coach sector. Using a range of scenarios, the model highlights the current cost differences between battery-electric/hydrogen and diesel coaches. This tool aids coach operators in their transition to zero-emission transportation. At the end of 2023, we updated the model, and another update has now been completed this autumn.
This year, the first electric coaches have entered the market, and the model has been refined based on real-world data. Additionally, the STour subsidy scheme, which came into effect in October 2024, has been incorporated into the model.
