Manfred Kindt is a transport expert within the Transport & Mobility team. He operates at the intersection of business and policy, conducting both qualitative and quantitative research. Over the past years, he has built strong relationships with various stakeholders. Through a combination of business, sector, and policy-related assignments, Manfred has gained in-depth knowledge of the transport and logistics sector.
His close contact with the sector allows him to stay informed about current issues and trends, enabling him to gather and translate sector information into policy. This also works in reverse when assessing the impact of policy interventions such as truck tolls, zero-emission zones, or driving bans on the sector.
With years of experience, Manfred is active across a wide range of topics, including sector and business economics, sustainability, fleet development, goods flows, innovations and vehicle technology, and road safety. Often, data collection, processing, analysis, and visualization are key elements in the projects he is involved in.
In projects, he maintains a clear overview of both scope and added value for the client, while also paying close attention to the critical details that can make a difference in project execution. As a result, he frequently takes on the role of project lead. In recent years, he has contributed to policy projects such as the Impact Study on the Return Mechanism, the Special Vehicles Monitor, heavy transport overloading, logistics mapping, cabotage in road transport research, the evaluation of the Road Transport of Goods Act, and monitoring of LHV (longer and heavier vehicle) studies. From the sector side, he has worked on projects such as cost developments in road freight transport, various TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) projects (e.g., TCO-freight, welkeebestelbus.nl), charging station models, and writing visions and papers for social partners, ING, and TVM Insurance. Additionally, he is involved in supporting social partners in the road freight transport sector.
From 2012 to 2017, he was responsible for Panteia's web development projects.
