Roeland has been working as a researcher/advisor at Panteia in the Transport & Mobility department since 2020. He holds a master's degree in Spatial, Transport & Environmental Economics from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. For his thesis, Roeland conducted research on the economic benefits of bicycle highways in the Netherlands. His strengths lie in conducting research, establishing statistical relationships, and working with data. At Panteia, Roeland is involved in collecting, processing, monitoring, and analyzing data across various national and international projects. He works on several studies (including in the field of TEN-T) for the European Commission, nitrogen calculations for inland and maritime shipping, and various other projects in passenger and freight transport. Additionally, Roeland has contributed to projects such as Short- and Medium-Term Freight Transport Forecasts and various BasGoed projects.
