PIONEERS is set to revolutionize European ports

PIONEERS, a groundbreaking initiative at the intersection of innovation and sustainability, is set to revolutionize European ports, addressing the pressing challenges they face to reduce environmental impact while remaining competitive in a global trade ecosystem. This visionary project aligns seamlessly with the European Green Deal's primary objective to achieve climate neutrality by 2050. PANTEIA is a member of the PIONEERS  project  funded by the Horizon Europe.

European ports are the lifeblood of global trade, but they also face the  imperative of environmental responsibility. The PIONEERS Ports – Port of Antwerp- Bruges, Port of Venlo, Port of Barcelona, Port of Constanta- are commited to become environmentally neutral ports.

PANTEIA supports and advises the Port of Venlo to develop a Green Ports Masterplan with the aim to become a zero emissions inland port by 2050. This plan includes initiatives and technologies to lower emissions, optimize energy consumption, and promote sustainable transportation modes while at the same time maintaining and even enhancing the position of Port of Venlo in the global trade ecosystem.
