Eurofound event on tackling labour shortages
Friday 10 November saw Eurofound's Virtual Visit to the Netherlands: an online event in which Eurofound experts presented research findings and a discussion took place around the topic Job quality: the key to tackling labour shortages?
Eurofound experts presented recent Eurofound work in this field, including the report Tackling labour shortages in EU Member States and the report Measures to tackle labour shortages: lessons for future policy. They further explained why tackling labour shortages is important and what the current situation in the Netherlands is. Finally, they discussed the concept of job quality, a concept that is measured, among others, in Eurofound's European Working Conditions Surveys (EWCS). In the Job Quality Index, the Netherlands scores highest of all EU countries after Estonia.
Present from Eurofound were Ivailo Kalfin, general director, Maria Jepsen, deputy director, Barbara Gerstenberger, head of the Working Life unit and Tina Weber, research manager. The event took place in cooperation with Eurofound's board members and Panteia, Eurofound's correspondent in the Netherlands.
