SUMP Izmir opening event

The 22nd of September we had the pleasure to have our SUMP Izmir opening event. The event was part of the activities of the European Mobility Week which took place from the 16th to the 22nd of September.

The opening words were given by the IMM Head of Department of Transportation, Ms. Sibel Özgür followed by the words of the Mayor of İzmir, Mr. Tunç Soyer. The Ambassador for the Delegation of the European Union to Turkey, H.E. Mr Nikolaus Meyer Landrut also shared some kind words on the importance of this project in the framework of the EU mobility goals. 

Finally our team leader @Prof. Dr. Ashraf H. HAMED and our SUMP Expert @Susanne Böhler made a brief presentation of the SUMP and what it will bring to the city.

The event took place at the Swissotel Büyük Efes İzmir and more than 250 persons from different organizations participated.
